A Life of Choice: Part Three

On and Off the Rails

A Life of Choice - Part Three

Jim Faulkner left Dortmund under a cloud, volunteering himself for a posting to trouble-torn Northern Ireland. Every posting is a fresh start with opportunities to impress, and in this case, it’s a timely move.

During the tour Jim has a chance to improve his qualifications, which means another course. Whatever else happens, he is scheduled to move on again after two years, and Jim’s next posting makes his colleagues envious.

Will Jim settle in his new role, or will alcohol become a major part of his life again?

Will Jim make the grade for the course?

Is Jim shaping up as a soldier and tradesman?
