Time after Time: and other stories

My intention with this collection is to do as I did with The Welcome: and other Sci-Fi stories, which is to provide a platform for fellow writers to have an example of their work, a bio and a website link seen in an anthology.

I have produced six stories and I now have ten submissions from guest authors. The tales will be original, previously unpublished work.  I will accept more original stories from the authors if they meet the criteria.

I would prefer not to go beyond twelve guest authors but at this time (15th March 2020), there is an opportunity to join us.

I originally intended to ask for a selection of previously published work from those authors to add as a bonus to the anthology but I’ve received feedback that some readers prefer not to discover that they’ve found something they’ve read previously.

Stories must meet the following requirements:

– based on the theme ‘Time‘ which offers a wide remit.

– stories should preferably be between 1,000 – 5,000 words but I am allowing exceptions.

– Times New Roman, 12pt, 1.5 spacing.

– any genre, except erotica.

– written in English (spelling appropriate to your country of residence).

– must be ready to publish by the appropriate date, provisionally Sunday 5th July 2020*.

* The date may be brought forward if there are sufficient stories of an acceptable standard submitted early enough.

My guests

  1. ‘Time’ as a theme offers all sorts of possibilities and directions for a story. I was featured in ‘The Welcome’ already so I’d say give first shout to those writers/stories that haven’t had a ‘guest’ platform yet. Having said that, I’ve got an idea of a ‘Time’ themed story I’m going to follow up, so if you don’t reach the desired six guest contributions, count me in for the sub’s bench 😎👍

    1. Hi Paul. Yes, a valid point on the ‘guest’ platform idea. I’ll keep that in mind, but, of course, if my standard twelve tales are exceeded and somebody like you has a story waiting in the wings … it’s going in. 😀

  2. I agree with Tom, Paul. The best stories should be included, not added as “subs”. Tom is proposing to write six stories, so four more, if mine is up to scratch, shouldn’t be too difficult if we nag a bit when Christmas is over. BTW, I’m also up for beta reading yours, Tom. You did a great job on my massive tomb, and you’ve promised to do One Alone in the World.

    1. I’m waiting patiently, Sarah At present, I’m performing final edits on a novel for somebody else but I should be finished next week. I’m also working on a few short stories and Czech Mate. 🙂 BTW, I think your ‘predictive’ is playing up … massive tomb … 🙂
